So recently Debenhams were offering a discount on all beauty products, and I jumped at the chance of buying my second Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick (see the post on Pulp Fiction limited edition revolution lipstick in shade Mrs Mia Wallace). I loved my previous shade as I could not believe how pigmented yet hydrating these lipsticks are. I choose the shade Venom which is a beautiful bright plum colour as I had been lusting a purple berry shade of lipstick.
The bullet comes in gunmetal packaging with the purple urban decay signature colour inside. Really pretty and classy. The lipstick applies so creamily and the colour payoff is insane. The swatch above is from one singular swipe. Can you believe that?
There are have lipstick liners with the same name to match the shades which I am planning on buying soon as I only own one lip liner for my red shades (oops), and I just find that my lipsticks last so much longer and bleed less with a liner.
My most favourite thing about this range of lipsticks is that the formula contains a blend of various oils including; jojoba oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter which as you can imagine just nourish your lips during wear opposed to drying them out.
For £15 a pop, they are a little expensive but the colour payoff is so worth it. Urban Decay has definitely won my vote for favourite lipstick range of 2014 for the high-end makeup brands.
