Nope, for those wondering ’empties’ is not a reference to the parties at an empty flat but to beauty products I have finished over the last month. I already know that I will be repurchasing these products as they agreed with my skin very well! As most of you might know I have sensitive skin that is easily irritated, so if a product works well with it I will forever praise it.

First up is a couple of sample products that were kindly gifted to me at Christmas, I have already gone out and bought the full-sized versions as they were that good. Soap & Glory Clean on Me is a beautiful creamy shower gel with a lovely fresh fragrance. I have to say that the mini didn’t last that long – perhaps 14 days?? – but this would be perfect for travelling with. I may even recycle the small bottle for my holiday this year using 500ml bottle (the pump dispenser makes this a super easy job). The gel lathers up beautifully and leaves my skin feeling moisturised which is a big deal for me if I have eczema break outs on my skin. To sum up, I was very impressed with this product and may have even found my new favourite shower gel. Next is a bit of a cult product that I’m surprised it took me so long to try. Benefit Porefessional Primer creates such a wonderful silky base for make-up, and unlike some other primers I have tried my skin doesn’t feel oily when I use it to start my make-up routine. It does the job well – my foundation stays in place for much longer with it on than without it, and my pores look less obvious after application. Just another benefit (get it) of this product is that it lasts for a very long time since a small sized amount goes a long way. It has taken me a few months to finish the sample size after I opened it, with a little help from Willow too. (Yep those bite marks you see? Puppy.)
Another brand I absolutely adore is Lush. Well, doesn’t everybody love Lush products?? You may ask. Yes most people I know love a bit of Lush but for me, they are the holy grail of skincare. So many of their products are affordable, they are made with natural ingredients, green friendly and best of all they don’t cause my skin to come out in lumps and bumps. Two well-loved products that I ran out of this month were Celestial moisturiser and Catastrophe Cosmetic face mask. I’m pretty sure that I have raved about this moisturiser before, but in short it is gentle, soothing and affordable. It ticks all the boxes for me. On the other hand the face mask is a product I tried out for the first time, it has calamine, chamomile, rose & almond oils to soothe the skin and fresh blueberries. The blueberries are fantastic because not only do they have antioxidant properties but they gently exfoliate the skin. Since they aren’t harsh it means you can put the face mask on more than once a week, which is perfect when my face is a bit more combination than dry. It also smells great too.
Have you finished any products this month? Let me know in the comments below!

EMPTAAAAAY! Haha I laughed a bit too much at that. The Porefessional is my absolute favourite primer so I really need to repurchase as my latest tube has just run out. I say just, but I mean about two months ago now… xx

    • On Christmas Eve we went to see the Last Jedi at the IMAX and I couldn’t resist putting my hair into Rey Buns. SW VIII was amazing, and quite possibly my new fave out of all the Star Wars films, all the elements of a classic Star Wars film was included and there were twists along the way. I really liked the connection felt between Rey and Kylo, and thought Rose and Finn’s storyline was sweet. The porgs were well cute and I want a crystal fox critter for a pet ❤️
