Hello Corinne

OGX Coconut Milk

I love playing around with colour in my hair, whether it means highlights, going lighter, darker or bright hair colours. This can leave my hair feeling dry, limp and sometimes frizzy. If I am going to experiment with my hair and spend lots of money on it, I really don’t want it to look dull or lifeless. So when a product claims to nourish dry hair I tend to try it out without a second thought. I’m so glad that I gave Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo & Conditioner a chance.

The coconut milk range is a blend of coconut milk, whipped egg white proteins and coconut oils. For those that didn’t already know coconut oil was the beauty must-have of 2015 and for good reason. Coconut oil stimulates hair growth, it moisturises dry hair, adds shine and prevent hair breakage. Phew! In addition, hair is composed of 70% keratin proteins, and egg whites are loaded with proteins. This means when conditioning hair using egg white proteins it enhances hair growth, strength and elasticity. After using the matching shampoo & conditioner for a couple of weeks, my hair felt soft, smooth and much more manageable. By this I mean there were fewer knots appearing, and generally found a blow-dry was enough to style my hair for daily wear.

At £6.99 for a bottle, I originally thought it was quite expensive for drugstore haircare, however, a little of the product truly went a long way. My hair felt clean, silky with a soft coconut scent. I really like sniffing the smell of coconuts, more so in the summer, but who doesn’t need a little reminder of the sun when the skies are permanently grey?!
I would highly recommend this matching shampoo and conditioner set to anybody that experience dry hair from either chemical e.g. bleaching, or hair dye and heat damage.
What is your favourite shampoo & conditioner set?
